Reading and Math
This week we will be reading Winter/Christmas themed books and discussing character, setting, main idea and author’s purpose.  We will be learning about the letter Zz (the sound it makes, how to write it, and recognizing it).
We will continue learning “The Doubles Rap” to help us memorize doubles addition facts to 10.  We will continue working on adding +0 and +1 to numbers .

Social Studies:
We will continue our “Christmas Around the World” unit this week.  We work on this in class to lead up to the big Christmas Around the World travel day.

Everyone have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
